No offense, but think about it. Would you really expect someone from a community like ROBLOX, save for a handful of people, to write something like these? Who has the patience? Who has the thoughtfulness? Other than a few people I’ve seen, I sure as hell can’t think of anyone else. I don’t need people stealing my work. I might as well just take this website down just to stop people from doing it. And I know the few people who visit here don’t want that to happen.

If you’re here to copy my work, get your ass out of here. Go steal from someone else. Plagiarizing doesn’t make you cool.

For the rest of you, if you see a thread on the ROBLOX forums that’s nothing more than a duplicate of one of my entries on this site, unless posted by me, report it. I recommend you use the word “plagiarism” somewhere in the report and provide a link to the specific article. I did that myself and a moderator deleted the thread. The mods may seem ignorant, but they’re responsive to plagiarism claims.
In a nutshell, just stop stealing my work. I might even get legal on your ass if I have to.

Remember back in the day when everyone used the same, standard ROBLOXian body? Those were good times. There weren’t any ways to modify your outfit; it was what it was.

Shortly after character animation was introduced, hats and T-shirts came out. Sometime around then, so did the ability to change body colors. This was perfect for users to customize their outfits and show off their individuality. Only Builder’s Club members could sell their T-shirts for a profit, but any user could make their own T-shirt. All was well.

Suddenly, in mid-2008, even more opportunities opened up with the introduction of shirts and pants. Unlike T-shirts, shirts covered all six sides of the torso, as well as the arms, while pants covered the torso and legs. There were mixed feelings about this, but most people were able to cope with it. However, the free users were unhappy with the fact that only premium members can make shirts and pants, as well as sell them for a profit. This was a slap in the face to the free users, but as new shirts and pants came out, even more possibilities emerged. Later, a new fad emerged: The “tiny body/giant head” fad. I cannot recall the name of the ROBLOXian who started said fad, but the fad was widespread across the community. Combined with zipperipper’s invisible shirt and pants glitch, the tiny body fad was a fun and amusing display for ROBLOXians’ profile pictures. Not even Are92 could resist its charm! The fad eventually died off, perhaps due to the fact that zipperipper’s glitch clothes no longer worked.

The ROBLOX developers knew they had a hit on their hands and continued the trend of new ways to enhance the appearance of a player rather than concentrate on enhancing the overall gameplay. When heads and faces came out, some ROBLOXians were thrilled, but others began to think that ROBLOX was taking things a bit too far. In fact, when Telamon began filming for a new ROBLOX trailer (“Online Social Hangout – ROBLOX”, the video seen on the website’s main page at the time of this writing), he forbade the use of the standard head; only new heads. Another rule written in the description of the place read, “NO YELLOW HEADS!” What was he thinking? The normal, yellow head has been part of the classic look of ROBLOXians for years. Why change what the veterans grew up with? The video was also full of nothing but lies: “Don’t like our stuff? Make your own! For free!” What is he talking about? You need to buy Builder’s Club to make  your own shirts and pants! Not to mention, you can’t even make your own hats, heads or faces, either. In addition, the video mentioned nothing about T-shirts. Even more ROBLOXians began to doubt.

And just when we thought things had gotten out of hand, SURPRISE! Reports of Bodies came flooding in from people who frequent the test server. The community was up in arms already. When the bodies were officially released, the community went absolutely ballistic. It was pure madness (we’re not talking about Sparta; we’re talking about pure, genuine madness). What was a real slap in the face was that free users were screwed over more than ever before: Only BC members could purchase bodies! But then again, why would anyone want to, anyway? Bodies, if you ask me, go completely against what ROBLOX veterans grew up with, especially those from 2006. This is obviously yet another ploy for ROBLOX to get more money from its unsuspecting customers. It may not be a requirement to use the new bodies, but that isn’t enough to convince ROBLOXians not to be pissed off. We all thought ROBLOX was going for a virtual block world with block people, not a virtual block world with semi-human figures running around. Now, ROBLOX has officially gone too far, no matter how cool some of the bodies look.

Then came the Triple Hat Glitch Feature. Now no one needs to use the infamous Double Hat Glitch (DHG) or Triple Hat Glitch (THG) to wear multiple hats at once. While it’s a brilliant new feature with some hats (Ninja mask + Swordpack), it diminishes the uniqueness of the feature. Some people used the DHG or THG or even QHG (Quadruple Hat Glitch) to take their uniqueness to a whole new level. Back in the old days, only a couple people sported the DHG, such as Django136 and ICE128. Now anyone can do it, especially since it’s now a built-in feature.

While the new ways to change ROBLOXians’ outfits were sometimes great ideas, some of them still cause for veterans to long for the old days. Many veterans would choose to see ROBLOX in its heyday again over finding new ways to change their outfit in a heartbeat. No matter what ROBLOX does, the longtime veterans are certain to always feel an unfilled hole in their hearts for years to come.

Most of these people are more popular than others. They are commonly referred to by the public as “famous.” Hmm. With the anonymity of the Internet, I’m surprised there’s such a thing as “famous” out here. I still remember winning that contest way back in the summer of ’08, and people started calling me “famous.” What a load of crap. There’s no fame on the Internet when you think about it.

Knowing the people who read this blog, I assume you play Roblox. Let’s say you use that one unique username on the game, and sooner or later people start calling you “famous.” It seems cool at first; you’re way up on top. Then you decide to start playing another online game like Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead. Who’s going to recognize you other than the ones who also play ROBLOX like you do? If you said, “Hello, infidels!” or “Hello tiny not-famous people!” to a group of people on some game you’re not “famous” on, you’re likely to get one of the following responses:

• “Uhh… hi?”
• “Lol, k”
• “Uh, who are you?”
• “Shut up, moron.”
• “Cool story bro” and/or “Riveting tale chap”
• [Insert meaningless joke/sarcastic comment here]

When you’re “famous,” people only know you from that one game. No one knows you from anywhere else unless you’re some YouTube sensation of some kind. Sure, people who play Team Fortress 2 are likely to recognize JJ5x5 and Are92, but only because all those people currently play or used to play Roblox.

Internet fame is a myth. There is almost no way you can become famous everywhere on the World Wide Web. You would have to be as unique, creative, or sometimes even lucky as you possibly can, and even that may not get you far. Let’s face it: You’re not MadV, and you’re not Fred. Your chances of being famous on the internet are slim to none. Deal with it.

The Old Way

ROBLOX veterans such as Django136 and ICE128 still recall being able to put on two hats at once back in the old days of ROBLOX. Before the DHG was made possible again, Django136 had a combination of the Valkyrie Helm and JJ5x5′s White Top Hat, while ICE128 sported an Ice Crown-Fedora combo. They did this by going to the character screen and quickly clicking on two hats at the same time. Later, the developers patched the glitch with a new character menu that would prevent anyone from ever performing the glitch again. Until now…

The New Way

Today, the DHG is once again possible. There are a few ways of performing it, but they all follow the same technique as the old way: Navigating to two pages in the Character menu at the same time. Some people use two different ROBLOX browers: one with the default WWW link, and one with the APP1 link. One person even created a program designed to perform the glitch with the press of one button instead of trying to move the mouse quickly from one place to another.

Now that the glitch is possible, people have performed not only double, but also triple and even quadruple hat and gear glitches. Unfortunately, I can’t see this ending well. Those who originally had the DHG are no longer unique anymore. The DHG was a piece of history, and now anyone can use it today. This is only one of many ways the ROBLOX community is slowly crumbling.

You may all know Cybersword. One day, he had gone around bragging about how he was the best fighter in ROBLOX, and that he was better than Are92. With that in mind, Are92 decided to challenge him to a duel. Cybersword, as arrogant as he was, accepted the challenge, and brought his girlfriend along so that he could impress her.

In the end, Are92 was victorious, and Cybersword suffered a humiliating defeat; Right in front of his girlfriend! After that little episode, Cybersword and his girlfriend broke up because Cybersword was so weak. …Nah, I’m just kidding. After all, it’s just a game. Why would she break up over a game?

I’m sure Cybersword is less arrogant now than he was then, so don’t get him wrong. He’s a good guy.

DO NOT POST ROBLOX AMBASSADOR LINKS ON THIS WEBSITE.

Now there are a couple of reasons why you shouldn’t do this.

1. WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT ROBLOX, considering this is basically a ROBLOX fansite. >_> You’re trying to advertise a game that everyone who visits this site already knows about.
2. IT IS SPAM. Do you really think I need people trying to advertise stupid stuff on this website? It’s advertising. It’s stupid. Don’t do it. This also applies to “We already know about Roblox.”
3. IT IS POINTLESS. As I said, we know about Roblox. Trying to post Ambassador stuff on this site won’t help you get the Ambassador badge (which isn’t even worth obtaining anyway. You seriously want to get pixels by advertising? Especially about a game we already know about?).

Hair in the Beta Stage

Eww… And now they’ve finally got hair.

Hair Today...

…Gone tomorrow. Yeah, I wish… Hey, wait a second… That last one isn’t hair, that’s a candle! Well, you get the idea. Returning to the topic at hand, it looks like they finally got something. But you still can’t wear it with other hats unless you use the no-longer-rare double hat glitch. And even then, it still looks ugly. It failed then, it fails now. Nothing has changed.

A Hairy Problem

You may know Stealth Pilot on ROBLOX, formerly known as PilotLuke and Indiana Jones. One of the most famous and popular of the ROBLOX moderators, Stealth Pilot took ROBLOX to flight in 2006/2007 with his amazing creation: Planes. Planes have been used in ROBLOX for a while. They’ve made appearances in Telamon’s mountainous dogfight map called Nevermoor’s Blight, on board pixelpenguin’s Aircraft Carriers, and in the Pacific skies of LuckyGlues’s dogfight map. In addition, they’re extremely popular for use at the end of just about every obstacle course ever made in ROBLOX.

Stealth Pilot’s contribution made a major impact on ROBLOX history, encouraging other players to build their own planes off of Stealth Pilot’s hangar system. The hangar comes complete with a regeneration system and planes equipped with guns to blast their enemies out of the air. The V3 plane is efficient and extremely common. It is also capable of performing 180-degree turns and barrel rolls at the push of a button. Press T, and your plane will turn around. Press G, and the plane will perform a barrel roll. However, the barrel roll function is not widely known of and is seldom used.

The older planes created by Stealth Pilot relied on the plane tool as well, but the pilot would have to instead click on the green button with the tool equipped to start the plane, and the red button to stop it. In addition, the plane was very sensitive; it sometimes exploded at the slightest touch! Ever since the release of the V3 plane, the older planes seem to have been long abandoned.

Nowadays, people are making even better ways to modify the creation made famous by Stealth Pilot. The plane system and scripts were kept intact and modified in order to make cars used by players such as CrashFM and shockdude. Although they sometimes seem to defy the laws of gravity, they’re still a lot of fun to use. Meanwhile, people such as xLEGOx and LuckyGlues are creating  new ways to steer the planes, including feedback from the player’s camera. Using the new VehicleSeat and his scripting skills, Anaminus also managed to make his own planes.

On land or in the skies, planes are evolutionary ROBLOX creations. They have been used ever since they were brought into the world of ROBLOX by Stealth Pilot, and the only direction it seems the planes can go is the same direction they were designed to go: Up.
